You may have felt the restlessness growing in your mind and body lately.
The feeling of ‘not knowing’ seems to increase, causing any sense of solid ground under your feet to disappear fast.
There are all manner of ways to explain what is special about this time leading into September. I have seen astrological interpretations and channellings coming by. Since I feel these shifts quite acutely and they always make me feel very unsettled, I have also looked and felt into the energies.
It always helps me when I understand the background of what I feel, so maybe this can help you deal with the current and coming energies too.
This time is all about recalibrating the balance between your mind and your heart. For thousands of years we have as a collective consciousness put all the emphasis on our minds. We have respected those who educated their minds and we have believed that the more rational and intelligent we were, the further we would come in our life.
We are now at a turning point because we realize that mental prowess can only take us so far. Stronger still, excessive mental activity can lead to problems such as stress, dis-ease and isolation, especially when we neglect the rest of our energetic bodies.
The Mind is insatiable, it never reaches a point of satisfaction or feeling it has enough. Therefore we can dedicate our whole lives to filling it, without ever reaching a point when we feel it’s ok to let go and apply the knowledge we have accumulated. This means we don’t move on to other aspects in seeking to further our pursuit of balance and happiness. But that is about to change…
Energetically, this coming time is likely to feel as a whirlwind, bringing up all the voices that want to be heard in our system: our physical, emotional and spiritual voices all speaking on par with our mental voice.
You can picture this as 4 individual voices speaking to you at once.
It is no surprise that this feels overwhelming. If there is one thing the Mind loves, it is control and it is difficult to feel that you are in charge when everyone talks at you simultaneously, demanding to be heard and offering different solutions for you to move forward.
Important premises:
Which choices?
With all voices clamouring for attention, making choices is more easily said than done. What is most important at this time?
How to make a choice
So how do you make a choice when 4 voices are yelling at you?
The answer is simple. Trust your feeling.
We have concluded that your rational mind simply can’t work it out. It is like old-fashioned hardware that gets stuck trying to process the powerful new software of this time.
So take a deep breath and turn to your gut feeling with the question- what do I need to do right now?
Know that each step you take is for NOW. Don’t try to look into the distant future as that will put you right back into your mind. Just trust that each small right step will show you the overall direction.

Just a small warning here: following your feeling will ask you to take steps that you can’t rationally justify. That is the whole point! For instance your feeling may say you need to give up your job while your mind says you can’t do that without having another one.
If you feel very stressed about this type of decision, make sure that you seek the advice of someone who can help you interpret your feelings so that your mind can place what is happening. Choose someone you can trust who is willing to go further than pure logic and feel with you. This is an area where many coaches, healers and energy readers excel and their advice can be life-changing in such a transition period.
Living a feeling-based life is tricky and there are no guarantees. But your feeling tends to take a more holistic view of your needs than your mind.

It is no surprise that this feels overwhelming. If there is one thing the Mind loves, it is control and it is difficult to feel that you are in charge when everyone talks at you simultaneously, demanding to be heard and offering different solutions for you to move forward.
Important premises:
- There is no black and white truth.
Where your Mind seeks clarity by weighing up rights and wrongs, it is going to fail. As we all know, a failing mind can turn very confused and critical, feeling the need to appoint blame so as to justify its inadequacy. Accept from the outset that you will not have the mental clarity you might desire. - You are dealing with 4 distinct energy streams
The less your 4 energy layers are in alignment generally, the further apart their ‘ideas’ will be. For instance you might;
- Physically feel exhausted and want to hide under your duvet
- Emotionally feel very nostalgic and long for the good old days
- Mentally be clear and desperate to move forward
- Spiritually accept that you are in the perfect position right now - It is all happening simultaneously
Because these four flows will continue to do their own thing, you need to accept that you feel it all at once, for instance:
Exhausted AND Nostalgic AND Impatient AND Content…
Each of these feelings is equally valid, you can’t distil it into one feeling.
This may be confusing but don’t worry that you are losing your mind.
In essence it is quite safe and a way to expand your (extra-)sensory perception and stretch your comfort zones. - Time to choose
All this input will push you to make choices. You are flowing over with potentials and you have to choose. That is the point of it all!
In fact, it is a way of helping you to become clearer about who you really are and releasing all that luggage you have been carrying around with you, such as how you were raised to always do what was expected and fears around showing who you really are.
With all that energy buzzing around, you simply have to choose. - You need to direct your energy
If you are a generalist and have many projects running in parallel, this is also likely to cause overwhelm at this time. The danger is that if you spread yourself too thin, you energy becomes so scattered you end up achieving nothing at all.
So the answer is to choose and then that dreaded word: FOCUS on one project that you really feel is worthy of investing your time and energy.
Which choices?
With all voices clamouring for attention, making choices is more easily said than done. What is most important at this time?
- Lifestyle choices
These are bound to come to you at this time. These may include the structure of your life such as where you live and with whom. - Relationships
Who do you want to spend your life with, romantically but also in terms of colleagues and friends?
Any relationships where the exchange is not honest, balanced and a source of nourishment to both parties are likely to fall by the wayside.
Let that happen, you will not be able to carry other people at this time, it is all about you and what you have come to do in this world. - Health and appearance
Your body is likely to ask for your attention. It may feel restless, tense and heavy and your muscles may ache. Particularly sensitive areas are the nervous and digestive systems. Ground your body and send it messages of peace so that it feels supported in processing the energies of this time. If you need help, there is a free grounding meditation on the Lifetools Academy website. You may also choose to make significant changes to your appearance at this time. - Self Love
As we started off by saying, these energies come to help us reduce our reliance on mind energy so we can learn to live from a balanced Heart.
We need to release old emotion and experiences so that our Heart energy becomes a clean and safe space to be. As we clear away old judgments and pains, we grow to love ourselves as we are, including whatever scratches and dents we may have.
